small but mighty September 10, 2010 S. M. Hansen My husband bought this 10" hp for me for our anniversary. He loves FOOTBALL and wanted me to stay in the rooom with him. I love the computer, email and games; so this was a way to keep us together. My only complaint is that we have had to purchase some additional things to make it easy to to hook up to the main computer. I also purchased a mouse and a bag to carry it in. I really like the bag with the handle and strap so that I am not juggling things. All in all I like it really well.
awesome September 7, 2010 HR I just got this, and will continue toaccesorize, but love the light weight, and amount of stuff it does, this is great for my trips, and job. i purchased the windows Ultimate Upgrade for this, and it was money well spent! It would be good to find a "package" deal as I seperatly purched the external dvd/cd drive and a external hardrive. but love it, and worth the price!
great notebook September 5, 2010 phpfalcon it's a great notebook .. but it have some of disadvantages like ...
1 - it comes without bluetooth
2 - it doesn't run flash hd youtube's videos probably
3 - windows 7 starter doesn't give you the rights to change your background
but overall it's good notebook
great for student going to overseas school September 3, 2010 robin sacks purchased this for my daughter who is going to travel and then go to school in england. lightweight and does all internet connections necessary. great idea and if it gets stolen, not much of a financial loss!
HP!? Never again! September 1, 2010 K. Green (Hollywood) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
I purchased my HP Mini in March as a replacement to my Acer I recently gave away to a foster kid that had the highest GPA. Well I want my Acer back. HP is a joke. Pricer than my Acer Aspire but clearly a lower quality. Acer keyboad was roomier and easier to use. I don't even want to get started on HP touch pad mouse. It is the WORSE! Had my Acer for a year, and it went everywhere! Scotland, England, Peru and back to humid Miami. It stayed in its sleeve and in the purse. This HP didn't last two months. Thankfully, there is a warranty. Had to wait 2 weeks for a hard drive an additonal week for the software. The tickler is the old hard drive had to be sent back in the within THREE (3) business days of delivery or I was going to be billed $150 for the replacement. Well the unit came and I placed the call to HP to be walked through how to switch the two out. It took a two days of calling and hanging up until I found a technician whose accent was thick and speech was comprehensible. That was last night at 9:30 pm.
Not an electronics girl none of the 6 screwdrivers I own fit the small screws so I was told to go knock on neighbors door or go buy a small set. I waited until I got to work and borowed a coworkers eyeglass kit. Then it was another a series of call, only 3 this time to get a tech with clear speech. I am now at over 45 minutes in to a call and things aren't looking good. The tech doesn't have true step-by-step instruction and I am yanking and pulling on things I am not sure I should.
All this makes me appreciate my recent call to Magnox for a techincal issue. I go a friendly guy from the good old midwest who had me off the line, tv working and happy in less than 10 minutes.
Never again HP! Not even for a printer!!
